About Cincy Bop Bulletin

A clear starting point for a local dance and music publication.

A quiet Cincinnati community room prepared for conversation and a small social dance gathering.

Cincy Bop Bulletin is an English-language field guide to bop, swing, shag and the social rooms around them. It began by reading the surviving Cincinnati Bop Club pages, then built a current-facing index that keeps documents, community leads and interpretation distinct.

The bulletin is for dancers, teachers, DJs, venues, bands, archive readers and curious newcomers across Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and the wider Midwest. Its broad categories are doors for discovery; the articles carry the technical and historical detail.

We do not publish a universal event schedule, private biographies or claims that cannot be checked. When a current detail belongs to an organizer, we link to that organizer and show when we checked it.

The publication grows in two directions at once: deeper local history and better current service. New articles should add a source, a useful decision or a clearer connection among dancers, music, rooms and memory. Wider categories do not mean a general-interest site. They are readable doors into one coherent world.
